Stacie & Kyle | Vancouver Engagement Session

We met Stacie & Kyle through Katie & Chris, and we hit it off right away (we love it when that happens)! A few months back, Nick shot their engagement session and I seriously love how cute they are. Stacie has such a great smile! Here are some of our favourites and we are super excited about their upcoming wedding this summer!

Day 6 – Jen & Jordy’s Day After Session

Jen & Jordy got married back in July, but they also decided to do a Day After Session (which we shot in October). A Day After Session is a really great reason to get dressed up again and it allows you to relax and not feel rushed to get back to your reception. Anyways… we started off the Vancouver Convention Centre (which I think is one of our favourite places to shoot) and we had a fantastic time Both Jen & Jordy looked just as fabulous as they did on their wedding day and we ended the session just moments before it started to rain! That’s a win-win situation!

Day 1 – Maddie & Adam – VeilTV promo shoot

Well here it is! The first day in our 30 Day Challenge! We’re going to kick things off with a few photos from the shoot we did with Maddie and Adam (you’ll remember them from their awesome Pemberton wedding here) back in October for our VeilTV promo video.

In the summer last year, Kathy Marliss of Marliss Productions told me about a new production she and her husband Steph were working on called Veil TV. We’ve blogged about it before here, but basically is a site where you can view short video interviews with all sorts of wedding vendors. There’s more to it than that of course. Anyway, Deb and I were immediately on board for this idea, so we signed up right away. Part of our video included having Kathy and Steph follow us around to shoot video of us doing what we do. These are a few of the images we took while they were shooting us. Enjoy!

Ali & Simon – Steamworks Wedding

Wow….I think this post is going to be huge as I really want to post every single image from Ali & Simon’s wedding! I’ll do my best on the image count and I’ll also try to restrain myself from blabbering too much too…no promises though

I started my day with the girls getting ready at the Cherry Blossom Bed & Breakfast in Kerrisdale, while Nick took off to the Landis Hotel downtown for the guys. I don’t go to Bed & Breakfasts very often, but I think I might have to because this place was insanely gorgeous and a wonderful way to relax. It certainly showed because Ali & her girls were calm and collected the entire morning.

Okay, I think I’m going to break my promise about keeping the image count in check… But really, it’s not a bad broken promise

I just have to take a minute to point out how awesome Ali is. While she was getting her hair done, she says to me, “I was wondering if I got in the tub if it would be a great picture…” I almost fell over because I was thinking of ways to ask her to get into the tub for some portraits! With a few minutes left before running out the door she climbed in and I snapped away…

Now while the girls were relaxing in style…so were the guys – with a pedicure! The guys really enjoyed it and had a bit of fun with it too! When they met up with the girls later, they remarked on why they were never let in on the whole Spa experience before….

Portraits!

Ali, you are so beautiful

Their ceremony & reception were held in the Uber Lounge at Steamworks Brewing Company and also in the lobby of The Landing (which is right next door). They had a cocktail-style reception which was fabulous because they could mix and mingle with all of their guests with ease.

Ali & Simon had a bit of fun with their cupcake tower! I really could not help but laugh – a lot!

Ali & Simon, Nick and I had a fabulous time photographing your wedding and meeting all of your friends and family. Congratulations on everything both of you have achieved so far and for everything you have yet to reach in the future

Hailey & Colin – Vancouver Engagement Session

We’re sooooo far behind on our blogging, so glad that I’m blogging this one tonight because we’re shooting their wedding on Saturday! Hailey & Colin’s engagement session was super fabulous not only because they are both awesome, funny & cute together, but also because they both looked so good all dressed up I really loved Hailey’s pink dress. She looked stunning in it and the colour really popped against the cityscape!

Colin is the new James Bond and Hailey is the new Bond girl. So dapper!

One of the locations that we had decided to go to was the Olympic Village. We were lucky enough to go on a day when they were having an Open House of the area, however we had 15 minutes before they closed it up! It was great to see the city from a different perspective and we can’t wait to go back there to explore it without a time limit. Hailey & Colin, you guys were so fun to hang out with and we can’t wait for your wedding! See you Saturday
