Well your photos clearly speak for themselves; however I felt I needed a moment to thank you guys for sharing your absolutely wonderful, exquisite, creative, contemporary, fun, inventive, silly, and amazing abilities with us on our wedding day (and the year before, with Engagement photos). The photos captured the beauty of the whole day, and even the silliness of it all! You guys have such unique and fun ideas that make pictures (no matter how funny looking the subject) look amazingly beautiful. Not only were you our photographers but you planned every last detail in making sure that our photos were nothing short of fantastic, from arranging our first look to making sure that all the special moments were caught on camera! We had so much fun with you guys, and since we were the first of our friends to start the the 'marriage' trend, we will be sure to recommend you any chance we get!!
We had a couple shoot with Nick and Deb on a Friday where we had every weather obstacle you can imagine! It was cold, rainy, and best of all – windy! What can I say? Nick and Deb were troopers! They lugged their equipment around without any complaints. We loved that they took their time to find the perfect place for our shoot! They were both really laid back and their sense of humor put us at ease right away. If we took directions well, it was only because they made it so easy and comfortable. The pictures are fantastic (and it’s not even the final product yet!) – the lighting and colors were superb. They picked the coolest places to shoot with. A mixture of posing pictures and casual candid shots. If you’re looking for artsy creative photos and awesome people to work with – Nick and Deb are your people!
Five stars…are you kidding?! If we could give them 50, we would. Nick and Deb are the ultimate photographers. We researched about 70 photography companies, from as far away as Seattle, and phoned/met with about 20 of those. Nick and Deb won out hands down. Not only was their portfolio one of the strongest, and their reputation totally stellar, but they were obviously genuinely passionate about their work, and enthusiastic about our vision. They met every (high) expectation that we have for professionals – they were prompt in their responses, reasonable in their charges and your right to use their photos, clear in their needs and flexible to our requests. But beyond that, they were excited about our wedding, and interested in photographing it the way we would photograph it, were we not the bride and groom :) We really didn’t want the generic shots, and when I came up with an idea, they had lots of suggestions about how to make it into a photograph (and all the equipment to make it awesome). Their portfolio is outstanding not only because they’re highly skilled and creative, but because they capture exactly the essence of the wedding – the smells, the sounds, the tastes, the sights (obviously) and the feelings, all from perspectives other photographers wouldn’t have thought of, and yet they’re totally unobtrusive – I hardly remember seeing them outside the group shots! We were married in a totally obscure place, three hours outside of Vancouver, and there was mud, and cow poo, and a million other obstacles. Unlike other photographers that I’ve heard about, Nick and Deb never once said that something wasn’t in their contract, or that they didn’t have the right equipment, or any other challenge that you don’t want to deal with on your wedding. Of all the service providers, Nick and Deb were the ones I was the least concerned about – I totally trusted them. In short, it was like being photographed by two insanely-skilled friends. Thank you!
I enlisted The Other Angle to photograph my 30th birthday party, and loved the photos so much that I called them again when I needed headshots done. Nick and Deb are fun, friendly, funny, talented, and–best of all–their photos are fantastic! I’m a wedding planner, and I have recommended them to clients in the past and will continue to do so. They rock!
I found The Other Angle through Facebook, admiring a friend of a friend’s wedding pictures, thinking “When I get married, I want pictures like that!”. So when Mike proposed to me, Nick and Deb were the first people I contacted. They are super speedy with emails and from our initial meeting I had total confidence in them. On the day of our engagement session Nick and Deb had amazing creativity and some of our favourite shots are the non-traditional type, like sitting in cut-outs in a parking garage! Nick and Deb ensure quality photos too. The day we did our engagement session the rain picked up, and unlike some photographers who might’ve said “Too bad, so sad!”, Nick was quick to realize our photos were showing the rain drops and offered a re-schedule at no additional cost. SO nice of them! We met up again and were very pleased with the final results. The engagement session put both Mike and I at ease in front of the camera and we were able to just be ourselves with Nick and Deb. We also opted for the photo guest book and were so pleased with the final product. The quality of print and overall appearance of the book was beyond our expectations. It’s a coffee table book that I love to flip through, seeing both our pictures and all our well wishes from friends and family at our wedding. Leading up to the wedding Nick put up with all my crazy bridal worries and again, quick with the email responses. Much like the engagement session, both he and Deb had these artistic ideas on how to capture our day and they did so beautifully. We had a great mix of traditional family poses, as well as unique, more modern looking shots. We’ve had nothing but compliments on our pictures, and we have nothing but compliments for The Other Angle. Thank you again, Nick and Deb

If I could give Nick and Deb more than 5/5 I would. Nick and Deb are beyond amazing. From the beginning they put my husband and my mind at ease. They were fun, friendly, and always professional. They were quick to respond to emails, and were always willing to provide advice about wedding items - something I don't think you'll find with every photographer. Our wedding and engagement photos are beautiful. They captured every moment of our wedding with photos that are definitely not generic or pose-y. Their photos of our wedding truly tell a story - they say so much about who my husband and I are as a couple and captured our family as they are! Thank you so much!
