Vegas!
In March, Nick and I went to Las Vegas for WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International), which is an 8 day photography conference. It was our first time at WPPI and WOW wow wow was it amazing! Not only is it held in one of the coolest cities in North America, but this year held the record for attendees: 14,000! I almost fell out of my seat when they told us that! Fourteen thousand photographers from all over the world attended this year’s conference and it was such an amazing experience to be among such great company! Needless to say, we can’t wait for next year!
So what did we do while we were there? Besides meeting some cool new photographers, we spent our time learning, learning and doing some more learning! We heard some amazing and inspirational speakers during the classes and presentations we went to and we left feeling a bit overwhelmed, but also full of enthusiasm!
On one of the days where Nick was in an all day workshop, I went out and did a bit of photowalking. So while he got up early for his 8am class, I did the same. I got up and just wandered around with no plan or destination. So please enjoy some of the shots I took on my little walk. ![]()
I looooooove reflection shots!
The next few images were taken at the new City Center area that they were just finishing up. I spent quite a bit of time in this area because the buildings were so amazing and “shiny” compared to the others on The Strip. ![]()
Just so you know, the building on the right is not falling over; it was built leaning! It was really incredible to see!
Talk about geometry! Wow! This one was tricky to photograph!
And one last one….you can’t go to Vegas without leaving with a shot like this!

LOVE that last shot and the building shots!…oh and the fountain shots! ….so…all of them!
Ooh. So cool!
I hope to make it out to WPPI next year!! Love the interesting architecture. Very shiny and new indeed.
Great shots. Love the wide angle of the buildings and it really makes me want to get back down there soon.
