Day out with Deb – New Westminster
Today was a super nice day in Vancouver, so Deb and I decided to go out and do a little shooting. We went out to Downtown New Westminster and shot around the Law Courts and the Wesminster Quay. Here are a couple shots that I liked. Enjoy them, for they are tasty.

The big doors of the Courts made for an awesome backdrop. Supa Dupa!

We really liked the little path of square platform thingies, but there was no water in the fountain… We’ll have to come back in the summer when they have water flowing.

I’m not sure if anyone’s noticed just yet… But I’m quite a fan of Black and White. This is one of my favourite photos of Deb so far.

Brick walls are fun…

This is another shot of Deb that I enjoy. Of course, I enjoy EVERY shot of her…….. ![]()

We walked to the Quay and I thought the the Fraser River Discovery Centre building had some nice texture to it, so I shot it… I kinda like how it turned out.

The wind today was a bit of a jerk (THANKS, WIND!!!!!) so Deb’s hair was gettin’ all up in her face. Oh well, what can you do?

This next shot is clearly not of Deb… it’s the back of the stop light at a train crossing. Ya… just puttin’ it out there. :>

At the end of the day, we were on a street that had a few antique stores. We went into a couple and in one of them we found 3 really awesome pieces that we’re thinking we’re going to get. This desk is built with solid teak (which is usually pretty pricey) and I love it. The only thing we don’t like are the pulls on the drawers and the colour of the wood. I’m pretty sure I can take the pulls off and replace them with something modern, and I’ll refinish the wood in a much darker stain. Anyways, last photo :>
